BJK&E Media has released the brief for its second DaimlerChrysler

creative media award, which will be presented to the media owner that

formulates the best campaign for the Mercedes C-class model, which

launches on 21 September.

The winner will receive an incremental media budget of up to pounds

100,000 to promote the launch, plus a prize of pounds 1,000 donated by

BJK&E.

The new brief can be obtained from BJK&E director Tim Irwin and the

closing date for entries is 23 June.

Four or five finalists will be selected and invited to present their

ideas to DaimlerChrysler in early July. The winner will be announced by

20 July.

’The award gets the media owners more involved with our client’s brand

than would normally be the case,’ explained Irwin.

The creative work for the campaign is still being developed but the

theme will be ’life is what you make it’.

Entrants will need to convince the judges that they go beyond a

spot/space/advertorial solution, demonstrate an insight into the target

audience and provide an effective communication.

The first BJK&E creative media award for the UK launch of

DaimlerChrysler’s PT Cruiser was won by The Daily Telegraph in April.
