TBWA GGT Simons Palmer is expanding its 17-strong planning

department by appointing Chris Blayze as deputy planning director from

Delaney Fletcher Bozell, where he was planning director.

The move marks a return for Blayze to GGT, the agency he left as a board

account director to join Bozell in September 1996. GGT has since

undergone two mergers - with BST-BDDP in October 1997 and with TBWA

Simons Palmer last month. The agency is now one of the five biggest in

the UK.

Blayze’s main responsibilities at the new agency will encompass people

management - on which he will work in tandem with TBWA’s planning head,

Simon Clemmow - and the Nissan account. He will also sit on the TBWA

management board.

Blayze said: ’I learned a lot at Delaney Fletcher Bozell but was keen to

move to a more creative environment. The job at TBWA offers me an

opportunity to join a new company with a unique brand offering - big

agency culture and stature with total commitment to the creativity of

its communication output. Being part of such a potent force within the

industry is a very exciting prospect.’

Clemmow commented: ’At TBWA we already have one of the biggest planning

departments in London - mine and Chris’s roles are to ensure it’s the

best.’
