THE BOOK OF LISTS: The 10 Best Young Creative Teams

1. CAROLINE PAY AND KIM GEHRIG

Pay (left) and Gehrig have only been working together at Mother for slightly more than two years, but have already racked up a raft of awards for work including the Schweppes "lookalikes" print campaign, and work for Cup A Soup and Sneak magazine. All this, and it's only 26-year-old Gehrig's first job in advertising.

2. ANTONY NELSON AND MIKE SUTHERLAND

Nelson and Sutherland got their first placement straight from college at Saatchi & Saatchi. Four years later, they've already tucked a wealth of international awards under their belts for their work for Club 18-30. Their posters for the NSPCC made it into the D&AD annual last year, and they've also done the "football agents" Carlsberg spot.

3. CHRISTER ANDERSSON AND ALEXANDER BALL

Former ski jumper Andersson teamed up with 25-year-old Ball for their first job at Clemmow Hornby Inge. Having only started in January, they've already proved they are on the right track by doing good work for Typhoo, The Daily Telegraph and Tango.

4. ESTHER HJELLUM AND JOHN ROBB

These youngsters, aged 24 and 25 respectively, had only been on placement at Bartle Bogle Hegarty for four months before they penned the Barnardo's campaign. A brief spell at BMP DDB followed before they were offered a job by HHCL & Partners. They've been there for three months, producing work for The Science Museum, Robinson's and Ambrosia.

5. TOM EWART AND DAVE SULLIVAN

Not everyone would think to place a building-jumper in a BBC ad, but 24-year-old Ewart and Sullivan were the brains behind the "rooftops" ad. They've been at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO for two years, and have done good work for COI's Drink-Drive campaign.

6. SAM HEATH AND FRANK GINGER

After reading law at Oxford, Heath met Ginger in a book club. The team was hired from their first placement at Lowe after three months and, having worked for only three years, is attracting attention for the Sprite "gremlin" campaign. They've also done an Orange spot shot by Tarsem, and the Nestle "Big purple one" campaign shot by Vince Squibb.

7. FEARGAL BALLANCE AND DYLAN HARRISON

This placement team scored their first job with BMP DDB, where they've been for two years. During that time they've worked on a wealth of VW work including Polo ads and a Diesel spot shot by Paul Gay. They also won a silver at the Campaign Press Awards for The Guardian.

8. CHRIS BOVILL AND JOHN ALLISON

Bovill and Allison co-wrote the John Smith's "babies" spot with Paul Silburn at TBWA/London, and in their short career to date they have also done idents for Nissan and ads for PlayStation Tekken.

9. MATT COLLIER AND WAYNE ROBINSON

Collier and Robinson did a placement at Mother before moving to J. Walter Thompson three years ago. Since then they've been responsible for work for Smirnoff Ice, Malibu idents for the MOBO Awards sponsorship, and the Kit Kat "lampshade" spot.

10. RICK BRIM AND GREG MITCHELL

This team in their mid-twenties joined as a placement and has been at Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R for two years. They've been recognised for their versatility, with plasma screens for Virgin Mobile, a Car Crime radio ad and strong work for Land Rover.
