THE BOOK OF LISTS: Agassi travesty and Graf gaffe heads list of sport-star shame

One can only imagine the trembling anticipation with which the world's finest sports men and women must approach the Christmas issue of Campaign.

Thierry Henry, Tiger Woods, Ian Botham ... they're all in there.

This year, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf top the list of sports heroes who should've known better, with their pan-European monstrosity for T-Mobile. Turning up in the last three seconds of a mobile phone commercial is not how many of us thought the seven-times Wimbledon champion would be spending her early retirement.

David Ginola also did his bit for the list with his Carte Noir campaign, which saw him half naked and covered in baby oil.

Our own Tim Henman, who is becoming synonymous with Wimbledon every semi-final he loses, proved that getting a star without a personality to advertise a product without a personality equals ... well, a dire Ariel ad.
