Brave Films splits up and rebrands

Michelle Stapleton, the joint managing director of Brave Films, is leaving the company she co-founded with Emily Bliss, taking the director Selby and the directorial team of Warren Du Preez and Nick Thornton-Jones with her.

Bliss will rebrand the ten-year-old Brave Films as Home. The new company, which will be based in Brave's offices, will boast a roster of eight directors.

Staying at the company are Mark Tiedeman, Sebastian Edwards, Lucy Blakstad, Sara Dunlop, Sue Worthy, David Hartley and Jason Smith, the director behind the new "21 Corners" spot for Muller Fruit Corners by TBWA\London. The company has also signed Saul Dibb, the director of the British film Bullet Boy, for commercials representation.

Bliss said: "It's quite common after a period of time for people to want to do their own thing. We both wanted to be more single-minded in our own visions."
