Brave's Hartley and Hetherington leave to join Stark Films

David Hartley, the director behind the decorated Maltesers and UK

Living spots, has left The Brave Film Company to join Stark Films.

Hartley, who is known for his performance and people-based comedy, joins

Stark with his producer Vanessa Hetherington. They will start on 5

June.

Hartley said: "I spent five enjoyable years at Brave, but you have to

stay rejuvenated and fresh about the work and the people you work

with."

He added: "I love Jeff's roster of directors. I'm performance-based and

I find myself drawn to people like him."

Jeff Stark, the founder of Stark Films, said: "He's our style of

director as he's not in the least bit precious and has a very clear idea

of advertising."
