British Digital Broadcasting hires brand chief

- British Digital Broadcasting, the digital terrestrial television consortium controlled by ITV licensees Granada and Carlton, has hired a former ad agency man as its director of brand marketing.

Marc Sands, formerly an account director at HHCL & Partners and DMB&B, was most recently marketing director of Granada UK Broadcasting. In his new job, he will report to Anthony Sethill, the executive marketing director of BDB.

Sethill said: "Marc has been working with the BDB team since last year and it is great news that he will be joining us full time."
