TXU Europe is taking aim at British Gas as it launches a new
utilities brand, TXU Energi, across the UK.
A series of posters breaking across London and other UK cities makes
scathing reference to British Gas' prices and customer care policy with
taglines such as "All you get from British Gas is hot air" and "British
Gas must think you have money to burn".
The ads, through Roose & Partners, form a teaser campaign ahead of a
major TV push scheduled for later this month. The campaign, which is
planned and bought by MediaCom, will seek to establish the TXU Energi
brand, formed through the merger of Norweb Energi and Eastern Energy.
