Britvic is considering centralising its pounds 15 million media

account and has lined up three agencies to pitch.

TMD Carat, BMP DDB and BBJ Media Services have all been approached to

contest the prestigious business, which involves buying across brands

such as Tango and Robinsons Squash. Pitches have already started and a

decision is expected at the end of February. It is unclear what will

happen to the planning.

Britvic’s director of marketing, Richard Manaton, said: ’We’re not

committed to centralisation but we need to see if it aids best

practice.’

The bulk of Britvic’s media buying is handled by BBJ, which also handles

Bass, Britvic’s majority owner. BMP handles Pepsi, whose UK distribution

rights are held by Britvic. TMD looks after the Robinsons buying.
