If you're as bored as I am with internet ads that show us whizzy multimedia stuff rushing down cables and pipes, then this nicely done retro BT Yahoo spot is a welcome relief. It takes us back to the web's beginning circa 1969 where we see two computer geeks come up with the idea for the "inter-network". As the camera at last reveals what the geeks are looking at, we see an ancient-looking ASCII rabbit animation appear. It makes me think fondly of BBC Micros. The campaign was written and art directed by Rupert Jordan and Ewan Macmillan. The TV commercials were directed by Paul Gay through the Paul Weiland Film Company. Media planning was handled by PHD with buying by The Allmond Partnership.
