Cowan Kemsley Taylor has shot into the top ten this week on the back of

its recent Gateway 2000 and Jeyes wins, which pulled in an extra pounds

7 million.

McCann-Erickson has leapt back up the table following its double win two

weeks ago, when it bagged the new cruise-line, Midnight Sun, and AT&T’s

Lucent Technologies. Lucent will spend pounds 6 million across Europe,

but only pounds 2 million of this will be put into the UK campaign.

Midnight Sun has earmarked pounds 5 million for its UK launch.

Further down the table, BST-BDDP is a new entry in 18th place after

resolving several budgetary wrangles, notably concerning Le Shuttle. The

cross-Channel rail brand will be backed by a pounds 10 million media

spend, rather than the pounds 5 million we initially attributed to it.

BST also added pounds 500,000 of billings from First Alert last week.

Down at the bottom of the table, SMI Group re-entered the top 30

following its pounds 1 million PSINet win two weeks ago.

1 Why creative people have lost their way

What better way to kick off Campaign's relaunch than with another think piece on the current failings of our industry, written by an embittered, pretentious creative who misses "the way things used to be"...
