C&B Communications, the contract magazine publisher, is to launch a

women’s title and a PC publication and has more consumer offerings in

the pipeline.

The publisher is looking to hire sales staff to work on these titles

plus two contract magazines; one for a water company and the other for a

telecoms operation.

C&B is seeking between three and five sales people to work on the new

magazines, which will launch within the next six months.

Newly promoted group sales director Graham Kearney said: ’Our company is

growing all the time. In the past three or four years we have doubled

the number of magazines and employees. We will build on this success

with the two contract wins and the launch projects.’

Richard Wellborne, client service director, added that C&B was keen to

expand its portfolio. ’We are one of the leaders in the UK loyalty and

affinity market and we recognise the opportunity for more titles. Our

company is in a position to offer the best service to organisations with

a large employee base that wish to produce a magazine for those

employees.’

C&B publishes six employee titles, four customer magazines and three

consumer titles and claims a total annual readership of 60 million.

Its employee titles include Club News, which goes out to 750,000 health

service and department of health employees, and Best of Terms, sent to

500,000 teachers.

Customer titles include Azure, an inflight magazine, and You and Your

Car, which is produced for car repair company Kwik Fit.

C&B’s consumer titles are Popular Painting, a bi-monthly magazine with a

circulation of 30,000, Cartier International Polo, and World Women’s

Polo.
