Contract publisher C&B Communications has picked up the contracts

for three magazines: The Phone People, Prison Review and Water.

C&B pitched against Turret Rai and incumbent TG Scott to land Water, the

official fortnightly journal of the water industry body Water UK.

TG Scott has held the rights to the magazine for the past five

years.

The Phone People is a launch publication aimed at the 350,000 customers

of The Phone People. Prison Review is a relaunch of a quarterly magazine

that goes out to the 43,000 employees of the prison service.

Commenting on the win, Gaynor Garton, C&B Communications’ ad manager,

said: ’We are delighted to broaden our brand portfolio and capitalise on

our success within the affinity market.’

The magazines’ advertising will be cross-sold with C&B Communications’

other titles. These include Royal Mail Leisure, Benefits For You and

Cartier International Polo. Advertising makes up roughly half of the

pagination of each of the three new magazines. Sales will be headed by

sales director Graham Kearney, who is supported by an 11-strong team.
