CAMPAIGN DIARY: Father figure acts as a role model for Ritchie

It’s always been said that advertising and film are closely linked, so it was sweet to see Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels’ director, Guy Ritchie, say thanks to his dad in a recent profile.

It’s always been said that advertising and film are closely linked,

so it was sweet to see Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels’ director, Guy

Ritchie, say thanks to his dad in a recent profile.

Ritchie’s father is the illustrious CDP account man, John Ritchie, who

helped his son get an interview with the director, Alan Parker, for his

GCSE film studies paper.

It seems slightly odd to us that someone who was so well-known for his

gentlemanly status (Ritchie senior) could be related to someone who’s

got more than a slight penchant for the unsavoury side of life. The rest

of the interview told of the young Ritchie’s love for the underworld.
