Good work by Young & Rubicam’s Stevie Spring and colleagues who

took part in the annual Three Peaks challenge organised by Maiden

Outdoor.

The annual climb takes place over 24 hours during which the teams - 21

this year - have to climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the

Lake District and Snowdon in Wales.

Spring completed the Last Peak Challenge - a special climb of Snowdon

for the directors of the teams taking part in the rest of the

challenge.

Despite a director of each team being expected to do the Last Peak,

Spring was one of only five who turned up at Snowdon. Out of the five,

three were from Y&R, the two others being Derek Turner-Smith, the

agency’s regional director for Citibank, and Mike Bentley, a deputy

planning director.

Y&R won the sponsor’s prize for raising the most money for Children’s

Aid Direct, the chosen charity. The agency managed to get friends and

colleagues to stump up pounds 22,000 in sponsorship.

Turner-Smith and Bentley.
