CAMPAIGN DIARY: Another spot of bovver with the Mitchell boys

After our story about Mitchell Patterson Grime Mitchell’s office being ransacked for a pitch document, news reaches us of a possible enemy the agency has gained.

After our story about Mitchell Patterson Grime Mitchell’s office

being ransacked for a pitch document, news reaches us of a possible

enemy the agency has gained.

A recent new-business leaflet featured the managing director, Andrew

Mitchell, the planning partner, Chris Mitchell, and the two creative

directors, Steve Grime and Neil Patterson. To add a dash of humour, the

two real Mitchells’ faces were replaced with those of Grant and Phil

Mitchell from EastEnders. The strapline on the leaflet was to read: ’Any

bother with your advertising, you know who to ring.’

The result is rather convincing but it would seem the BBC isn’t

impressed.

It pulled the plug on the picture, insisting the Mitchell boys are its

copyright.

Now what exactly was it that was stolen from the offices? The negatives,

perhaps?
