You’ll all probably have read a news story about SodaStream’s latest ad through Mitchell Patterson Grime Mitchell, but we must recount the trials endured by cast and crew during its filming.

You’ll all probably have read a news story about SodaStream’s

latest ad through Mitchell Patterson Grime Mitchell, but we must recount

the trials endured by cast and crew during its filming.

The ad, which features Lenny Henry in various guises, was filmed in the

scary area around Portobello Road. First, the director, Sid Roberson,

had a pounds 3,000 laptop nicked when the film crew’s cars were broken

into.

Things then took a turn for the worse when two wardrobe girls were set

upon by an unmuzzled pit bull terrier. In a bid to save them, a crew

member rushed over. As he was fighting off the dog, a gang of teenage

thugs (you know, the kind you read about in the papers) promptly set

upon him.

Lenny Henry raced to the man’s aid - still in costume. The sight of a

six foot two ’policeman’ was too much, and the gang fled shouting ’You’d

be dead meat if it wasn’t for him’.

We’re not sure if the gang recognised Henry, or actually thought he was

a real copper. Judge for yourselves.
