Campaign Diary: Could it be that Walker may be taking a walk in the direction of BBJ?

While medialand is buzzing with rumour and speculation over Christine Walker’s next place of employment, we at the Diary can, naturally, provide some clues.

While medialand is buzzing with rumour and speculation over

Christine Walker’s next place of employment, we at the Diary can,

naturally, provide some clues.

Close scrutiny of the pic in last week’s Campaign (dating from 1989, we

feel compelled to reveal) shows Christine with a bunch of fellas behind

her. Two of them are Nick Hammond and Nick Evans, now the planning

associate director and TV buying manager, respectively, of BBJ Media

Services.

At the time they were, of course, Walker underlings, but it might be

nice to know that BBJ smiles on former Zenith employees ...

As if to fuel the rumour, BBJ’s chief, Jerry Buhlmann, has been

overheard recently muttering how he would ’certainly interview her’

should she be interested in some TV buyer’s position that has just

become vacant. Remember, you read it here first
