Inter-agency relationships can lead to some interesting

situations.

We were delighted to hear of the recent wedding between Chris Clarke, the

managing director of Bates Dorland, and Claire Nunnerly, the new-business

director at Bartle Bogle Hegarty.

The reception was a grand occasion, held in a huge country house in

Wiltshire, and was well attended, with agency stars mingling politely

with royalty.

Nunnerly, in case you were unaware, is the god-daughter of Princess

Margaret and Her Royal Highness attended both the ceremony and the

reception. The happy couple are presently involved in romantically

climbing mountains on their honeymoon.

After a bit of detective work, we discovered that Nunnerly’s dad is the

chairman of the Nationwide building society, which makes him the

father-in-law of the managing director of the Halifax’s agency.

It’s a small world.
