CAMPAIGN DIARY

Congratulations to Brian Watson, joint deputy creative director of FCB, and Robert Ballin, deputy chairman, who both celebrated 25 years at the agency last week with a boat-party on the Thames.

Congratulations to Brian Watson, joint deputy creative director of

FCB, and Robert Ballin, deputy chairman, who both celebrated 25 years at

the agency last week with a boat-party on the Thames.

As if that wasn’t a feat in itself, during his time at FCB, Watson has

produced more than 500 commercials for the Daily Mail since the agency

won the account in 1980. It was with this huge effort in mind that

agency bosses contacted the Guinness Book of Records to ask, well, is

this a record?

We’re pleased to reveal that it is - and the chairman of FCB, Robert

Hamer, was present on the boat to present Watson with a World Record

certificate for - and here’s the official bit - producing more TV

commercials for one client than anyone else.

We wonder how long the record will stand?
