It’s that time of year again and NABS is looking for an audience

for its annual Battle of the Bands tonight (Thursday) at Camden

Palace.

This year, the four bands are: Bates Angels from Bates Dorland, Common

People from Young and Rubicam, Random Groove Movement from the SMI Group

and Stuntmutt, made up of staff from FCB and BMP. The bands will each

play an original song (as well as the usual Oasis cover versions) in a

bid to win recording time donated by the Graffiti Soundhouse. As well as

a casino, DJs from Kiss FM, which runs the event with NABS, will be

there along with ’roaming’ henna tattooists.

As usual, tickets are available from the NABS office, but you can also

get them on the door, price pounds 12. It kicks off around 6.30pm, as

does the happy hour
