Tributes to Diana, Princess of Wales have been flooding into
newspapers as the first anniversary of her death approaches.
Admittedly, it must be difficult to sell space in such gloom-laden
issues but we couldn’t help wondering why car ads are featuring so
heavily at the moment.
A recent Telegraph supplement featured an ad for Mercedes-Benz. Wording
which alluded to a female who reminds the writer of the ocean and who is
also ’an energy’ could have been a tribute to the late Princess
Touching, but somewhat misguided, we feel.
