CAMPAIGN DIARY:

You’ve got to feel sorry for poor old Ben Langdon. The managing director of McCann-Erickson was spotted at the Marketing Society’s dinner last week desperately trying to disguise the fact that after his marketing director, Amy Smith, had left the agency, no-one had taken over responsibility for filling the table the agency had booked at the bash. When Langdon confronted Smith and accused her of trying to sabotage the agency, she said: ’Look, Scott ...’ ’Scott?’ Langdon replied, bemused.
