European internet users have a generally positive attitude to
internet advertising, according to AOL research. Despite market cynicism
towards the medium, 40 per cent of respondents said they didn't mind
internet advertising and 21 per cent said it interested them. In the UK,
more than 50 per cent of users said they didn't mind online ads, with a
hardcore of 4 per cent saying it interests them a lot. Almost 60 per
cent of people surveyed said they like online ads as much as TV ads.
