Campaign Media Awards unveils jury panel

The revamped Campaign Media Awards, sponsored by Capital Radio, will be judged by a jury of 14 chaired by Jonathan Durden.

Durden, the chairman of PHD, will oversee three judging groups awarding 15 categories. Judges are drawn from the agency and media owner communities.

Media owners on the judging panel are David Abraham, the general manager of Discovery Europe; Brian Aspin, the head of media development at Royal Mail; Sally de la Bedoyere, the former managing director of the Evening Standard; Mike Anderson, the new managing director of the Evening Standard; and Polly Cochrane, the controller of marketing at Channel 4.

The agency representatives are Jerry Hill, the group chief executive of Initiative Media; Marie Oldham, the managing partner of Media Planning Group; Will Colin, a partner at Naked Communications; Rob Norman, the chief executive of Outrider; Fiona McAnena, the chief executive of Mediaedge:cia; Sheila Byfield, the director of consumer insights at MindShare; Derek Morris, the chief executive at Publicis; Neil Jones, the commercial director at Carat, and Phil Georgiadis, a partner at Walker Media.

Judging takes place later this month and the winners will be announced at the Campaign Media Awards dinner on Wednesday 27 November.

Campaign 's Media Awards have been redesigned to be based on product categories. There will be ten product-related categories including alcoholic drinks and tobacco; automotive; fashion beauty and healthcare; and financial and corporate.

In addition, three categories will award the most talented people at media owners.
