The changes will make the awards more relevant and give the event a new creative and contemporary twist.
The 2005 Press Awards will be held at the Old Truman Brewery on London's Brick Lane and the evening will have a fresh, modern format rather than the traditional black-tie dinner approach.
The awards categories have been updated to better reflect the marketing sectors in which campaigns have to work, and the rules for entry have been simplified.
