Capital Liverpool launches with TV ad campaign featuring Justin Bieber

Capital Liverpool, the Global radio station, is launching an ad campaign featuring Justin Bieber, Little Mix, Coldplay's Chris Martin, Jason Derulo and Ariana Grande.

The radio station launched today. The TV ad created by WCRS shows the pop stars in front of red and blue LED screens encouraging the viewer to tune into the new station and what to expect.

The ad will feature on ITV Granada during the National Television Awards, Take Me Out and Coronation Street. The campaign will run across social, print and out-of-home too.

The ad was created by Jo Griffin and Tom Dixon. PHD handled the media planning and buying.

Adam Johnson, the director of marketing at Global, said: "Launching 107.6 Capital is a huge milestone and something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time.

"The scale of this new marketing campaign, and the artists that feature in it, reflect the importance we place on making Capital part of the fabric of the city of Liverpool and its incredible musical and cultural scene.

"The advertising will ensure that wherever you are in Liverpool you will definitely know about the city’s new hit music station."
