Capital Radio launches website "Ad Bubble" to entice sponsors

The 'Audio Ad Bubble' brings together streaming audio content with web pages to create a stand-alone 'mini-website' that is branded for advertisers.

The 'Ad Bubble', which incorporates visual, text and audio promotions, is launched when users select any piece of live audio available across the Capital network.

It has been developed as a customised ad solution for media agency, New PHD, and its client, BT. The first BT brand to take advantage of the service is BT Highway, which is using it to target heavy users of the web, especially those currently consuming audio online.

The BT Bubble is launched as a new window when users click on the 'Listen Live' button. A series of pages are immediately displayed containing more information on the BT Highway service, together with a link to the BT site.

In addition to the graphical messages, a ten second audio advertisement for BT is played prior to the user's requested audio feed being loaded.
