Robert Horler, Emap Online's commercial director, is to join Carat Interactive as a managing partner.
Horler will work alongside existing managing partner Richard Wheaton and he will report directly to Mark Craze, Carat's chief executive.
Horler was responsible for building EMAP Online's in-house sales team and at Carat he will help grow the company's online planning and buying capability.
He leaves Emap after a 14 months. Prior to joining the publishing firm Horler spent time at FT.com and LineOne.
