Carlsberg has embraced viral marketing for the latest instalment in its long-running "Probably the best lager in the world" campaign.
The viral was filmed on a camera phone in the crowd at Kingsmeadow, the home of AFC Wimbledon, in the Carlsberg FA Trophy match against Torquay in February 2008.
It features a mock announcement over the Tannoy system as the game is about to kick off.
As the crowd waits for the game to start, a voiceover says: "We have a very important message for a Dons fan Derek Wilkinson with a message from your wife who's just called from St George's Hospital where she's given birth to a healthy 6lb 4oz baby boy."
The message then goes to explain that Derek's wife agrees to calling their baby a combination of names borrowed from the Wimbledon players, hiring a Swedish au pair and finally, letting him know that she will get a lift home from the hospital in a taxi so he doesn't have to miss an away game at Bromley.
The announcement then finishes with: "Carlsberg don't do wives but if they did they'd probably be the best wives in the world."
