Carlton Food Network has secured six months worth of sponsorship

deals with high-profile food brands and supermarkets.

Lurpak, California Raisins and Felippo Berio olive oil are to sponsor

the channel for the first time, while Waitrose and Meat New Zealand are

renewing their sponsorship arrangements.

The deals were negotiated by Carlton Digital Sales, part of Carlton

Television.

Lurpak will sponsor two cookery series Simply Antony and More Simply

Antony - which star the celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson - from

the beginning of April.

The Lurpak sponsorship credits will be linked to a new Lurpak

commercial, which is scheduled to run in the ad breaks of both

programmes.

California Raisins will sponsor the 40-episode series Superchefs, which

will be broadcast daily from the beginning of May.

Felippo Berio is linking up with Carlton’s Mediterranean food programmes

to support its current media campaign. It will sponsor the entire series

of Perfect Pasta and Cucina Valentina, an Italian home cooking programme

that will launch at the end of August.

Meat New Zealand has negotiated a deal with Carlton through Zed Media,

an agency that has offices in New Zealand. The trade association will

sponsor the SimplyFood.co.uk website - which features a number of links

to Meat New Zealand sites - as well as investing in airtime and

sponsorship across a range of programmes on the channel.

Waitrose has extended its current six-month sponsorship of In Season for

another six months. The series, which focuses on healthy eating, will

run for 26 episodes from the beginning of May.

Jeremy Hallsworth, managing director at Carlton Digital Channels, said:

’It’s a testimony to the quality and focus of our audience that

high-profile brands such as these are sponsoring our programmes.

’It is also particularly heartening that both Waitrose and Meat New

Zealand have returned for a second helping of Carlton Food Network.’

Carlton Food Network is broadcast seven days a week on ONdigital between

7am and 7pm.
