Carlton Media Sales is mounting a full-scale marketing campaign to lure more dotcoms onto television.

Carlton Media Sales is mounting a full-scale marketing campaign to

lure more dotcoms onto television.



The company is planning a pan-European offensive, selling itself on

terrestrial as well as CNN, Sky and a host of digital channels,

including Simply Money.



Fran Cassidy, director of marketing sales, will head the initiative.



TV ads will be backed by direct mail, e-mail and banner ads on Carlton’s

websites.



Tara Lee, marketing communications manager at Carlton, said: ’We want to

bring in start-up dotcoms and venture capitalists who have invested in

media but are new to advertising on TV.’



Carlton is also launching free online media presentations called Easy

Media, dedicated to servicing UK dotcom advertisers. The seminars will

give dotcoms an idea of the basics of the TV, cinema, online and digital

media markets.



Lee said the seminars would cut out the jargon and show clients how to

create effective, simple, affordable ads that destroy the myth that TV

is too expensive for start-up companies.
