Carlton to promote Bowley and Platt in sales restructuring

Martin Bowley, managing director of Carlton UK Sales, is to fill the new post of chief executive as part of an overhaul of the ITV sales house. The changes are designed to recognise the contribution of advertising sales staff to the Carlton media empire.

house. The changes are designed to recognise the contribution of

advertising sales staff to the Carlton media empire.



Steve Platt, the sales director of Carlton, is being promoted to

managing director, replacing Bowley, while Gary Digby, the sales

controller, moves up to sales director.



The changes in the senior management line-up are accompanied by the

promotion to the board of Chris Soden, the deputy sales director, Tony

Hopewell Smith, the audience research director, and David Prosser, the

sponsorship director.
