The UK is to get its first masthead TV programme in March when
Carlton Food Network, Carlton Television’s cable channel, and IPC’s
Ideal Home magazine launch the series, Ideal Home Cooks.
The collaboration, which will include cross-editorial promotions,
follows the Independent Television Commission’s proposal to throw open
the sponsorship rules to allow cable and satellite channels to create
programmes around existing magazine formats.
