Chris Moyles heads up Radio X ad campaign around Euro 2016

Chris Moyles, Vernon Kay, Johnny Vaughan and Ricky Wilson prove they're better at presenting than hairdressing in Global's Radio X ad, supporting ITV's coverage of the Euro 2016 tournament.

Global is sponsoring the Euro 2016 highlights show, which runs from Sunday 12 June until Sunday 10 July.

The campaign breaks during the opening match of the games, France vs Romania, on Friday 10 June. The activity will be supported by 30-second TV spots, as well as video-on-demand and cinema.

The comedy "On hair" spot features Radio X presenters Moyles, Kay, Vaughan and Wilson in a barbershop, cutting the hair of unsuspecting members of the public with varying degrees of success.

Adam Johnson, director of marketing at Global, said: "The iconic British barbershop is a great backdrop for our new Radio X ad featuring Chris, Vernon, Johnny and Ricky.

"While we were spoilt for choice with material, it’s fair to say these four are better DJs than they are barbers. We’re delighted to be sponsoring ITV’s Euro highlights show alongside a heavyweight TV, VoD and cinema plan."

Mr President created the ad with Global. Media was planned and bought by PHD.

Moyles also appeared in Radio X's launch ad, which featured the presenter re-enacting The Verve's music video for Bittersweet Symphony.
