CIA Scotland lands Halifax brief

CIA Medianetwork Scotland has picked up the offline portion of the launch brief for Halifax’s internet banking service Intelligent Finance.

CIA Medianetwork Scotland has picked up the offline portion of the

launch brief for Halifax’s internet banking service Intelligent

Finance.

The agency has been appointed alongside Quantum New Media Services, the

online arm of Booth Lockett Makin, to handle the pounds 15 million

account (Media Business, 28 February). Quantum has been selected to

handle the online work.

The offline business will be overseen by Graham Milne, CEO of CIA

Medianetwork Scotland, who will run a team of three, comprising media

group manager David Shearer, account director Tania Alonzi and senior

media executive Harriet Bruce

Milne said the drive would be a multimedia campaign, and there would be

strategy co-ordination between CIA and Quantum. ’All the various

marketing services involved in the launch will be sitting around the

table quite a bit,’ he said.

The campaign is due to launch in the summer, shortly before Intelligent

Finance goes live in July.

Until last month, Intelligent Finance had the working title

Greenfield.com.

The website can now be found at if.com and thisisif.com.

The company claims the service will enable customers to ’maximise every

penny they save and earn’, and will offer unprecedented control over

finances.

Intelligent Finance, whose head office is in Edinburgh, will run a

number of promotional roadshows across the country this summer.

The bank’s aim is to have 500,000 customers by the end of its first

year, and two million by the end of 2004.
