Claydon Heeley and Jones Mason merge to form top-ten shop

Jones Mason Barton Antenen, the direct marketing agency set up as a joint venture between BMP DDB and Claydon Heeley, is to merge into Claydon Heeley creating a top-ten operation.

Jones Mason Barton Antenen, the direct marketing agency set up as a

joint venture between BMP DDB and Claydon Heeley, is to merge into

Claydon Heeley creating a top-ten operation.



The new agency, entitled Claydon Heeley Jones Mason, will remain partly

with-in Omnicom’s Diversified Agency Services group and partly within

the DDB network. Jones Mason was set up just a year ago as BMP’s

below-the-line partner and now has 60 staff, with clients such as

Telewest and Compaq on its books.



CHJM will be headed by Jon Claydon as chairman. Nigel Jones and Ed

Mason, two of Jones Mason’s founding partners, will be joint chief

executives.



A third partner, Simon Antenen, will share the creative director’s role

with the Claydon Heeley incumbent, Rob Scott.



Claydon Heeley’s managing partner, Leo Campbell, will become

vice-chairman, and Mark Heeley will take a non-executive role.
