Reed Business Information is scouting for a sales director to run

its IT recruitment site ComputerWeekly.com.

The publisher is looking to fill the shoes of Nigel Sterndale, the

site’s former sales chief, who has been promoted to associate publisher

for the Computer Weekly site.

Aside from keeping an eye on sales, Sterndale will oversee the editorial

and technical sides of the web venture, which posts 6,000 to 8,000 IT

jobs at any one time. He will also assist with the launch of several

recruitment websites in new sectors.

Sterndale is looking for someone with five to six years’ experience to

take over the running of ComputerWeekly.com’s salesforce of between 20

and 30 staff.

The chosen candidate - who must have some recruitment advertising

experience - will have a seat on the executive committee of RBI

Recruitment, run by director Paul Sissons. ’It is a fairly heavyweight

role,’ said Sterndale.

RBI has a range of recruitment sites based on its titles, including

ComputerWeekly. com and TotalJobs.com. However, RBI is to branch out by

launching recruitment websites in markets not covered by any of its

publications.
