Conde Nast reviews Glamour ad account

LONDON - Conde Nast has called a pan-European advertising pitch for Glamour, its glossy monthly women's title.

The publisher has shortlisted agencies including DDB Paris, JWT London and Ogilvy Advertising for the task. It is understood that the title is looking to revamp its image to compete with upmarket titles such as Tatler and Vogue.

JWT London was the last agency to work on Glamour, although the account has been dormant for some time. Its last high-profile UK campaign featured snapshots of women during different times of the day. It ended with the line: "Fits into your life and your handbag."

Pitches start next week and are being led out of Condé Nast's London office. A decision is expected by September.

Glamour, which is published in a number of European markets, including France and Germany, saw its circulation rise by 1 per cent to 550,066 in the second half of 2007, after a slump during the January-June period, according to ABC figures.
