D&AD: Aerials Foundation to run second workshop for creativity in radio

The Aerials Foundation, set up by the Radio Advertising Bureau to encourage creativity in radio advertising, is to broaden its training programme for creatives.

After an initial workshop, called "The Fast Track to Radio Fame", sold out in March, the Foundation decided to run another day-long event for creatives later in the year.

It is also planning workshops for account management staff that it hopes will create greater understanding of radio.

The first creative workshop was held on 19 March.

It was run by the radio director and writer Mandy Wheeler and was split into two parts: listening to radio, talking about it and then writing it; and then a second session involving working in a studio on technical production.

Andrew Ingram, the director of the Aerials Foundation, commented: "These creatives really appreciated the course. It looks like we'll have to run it again for the ones who couldn't come."
