Ramsay was promoted to consumer marketing director in September, having covered the role on an interim basis after the previous incumbent, David James, moved to another part of the business. Ramsay’s most recent position was customer acquisition director, where he oversaw BT’s ‘Behind the Scenes’ ads. BT Sport spent £900m to acquire the exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League, and this summer, Ramsay led BT’s drive to promote its coverage – one of the biggest UK advertising campaigns in 2015.
