Software giant Informix has hired David Wood & Associates to snap

up poster sites, banner ads and business magazine space across

Europe.

Blackheath-based DWA will spend up to pounds 7 million to ensure

Informix’s name is seen by IT directors and business managers in the

core markets of the UK, France, Germany, Scandinavia and the Benelux

countries.

Managing director David Wood, media director Mike Robinson and client

services director Andy Emptage have already started buying ’high impact’

outdoor sites - mostly at airports - across the Continent.

The team will soon look at buying into business and technology

titles.

This press push will be accompanied by an online campaign, to be

overseen by Paul Cowen, DWA’s online and account manager.

’Our brief is to achieve real stand out,’ said Wood, whose agency

specialises in handling media briefs for technology companies.

Informix is the world’s sixth largest software company.

Other clients on DWA’s books include Cabletron and Foundry Network.
