Debenhams picks nature as its main theme for autumn

Nature is the central theme in Debenhams' autumn television and press campaign through WCRS.

The campaign showcases the designer John Rocha's exclusive range for Debenhams, which is called Rocha.John Rocha.

The campaign compares images of nature to clothing to fit with Rocha's trademark use of natural textiles, fabrics and neutral tones.

The 30-second television spot, comprising several vignettes, showcases men's wear, women's wear, children's clothing and home products. A ten-second cutdown showcases home and women's wear.

In the first vignette, a man is shown relaxing in a Rocha.John Rocha jacket. Behind him is a projection of a still lake. The man picks up a stone from the table in front of him and throws it at the wall where the stone is then seen skimming across the surface of the water.

The television work is supported by a press campaign.

The campaign was written by Will Barnett and art directed by Mike Wells.

The spot was directed by Joe Roman through the production company Rose Hackney Barber. Media planning and buying was handled by Carat.
