Diary: Crouch stays up to relive Peter's moment of glory

The TV stayed on into the small hours at Peter Crouch's Cheshire home last week as the Liverpool striker watched rerun after rerun of his first England goal, along with his creative director father, Bruce.

Crouch senior, Nitro's joint executive creative director and managing director, was lucky enough to live every dad's dream when Peter came off the bench to head home England's equaliser in the 2-1 win over Uruguay at Anfield. "It was 5am before I got a cab to the station to be back in London for a 9am meeting," Bruce says. "I made it. But I spent the afternoon sleeping under the desk."
