Diary: We demand the head of Mark Cridge on a plate

Diary has to admit, we've never thought of Mark Cridge as an advertising pin-up. But, for anyone who thinks he's a bit tasty, here's the proof to back it up.

To celebrate the agency's tenth birthday last week, glue London's staff took part in a "bake-off" competition and, as you can imagine, for an agency that's made its name with innovative campaigns, the results weren't lacking in creativity.

Among the highlights were a gory-looking severed foot and a replica of the Tea Building, the Shoreditch office block where the agency is based.

However, the piece de resistance was a marvellous, if a little disturbing, recreation of Cridge's head. He said: "I was unusually lost for words when I saw the cake. It was all very surreal, especially when I hacked my own ear off and ate it."
