DIARY: Dolphin ad suffers in bloody juxtaposition

There's nothing like bad communication to ruin a campaign. A good example of this can be found in the 30 October edition of the Daily Express.

The ad in question is innocent enough. It's for Dolphin Bathrooms' autumn sale and it boasts of Dolphin's biggest-ever savings. "Dolphin design it, fit it and fully guarantee it," it adds.

This would all be fine were it not for the article opposite, which is about the tragic starvation and slaughter of, you've guessed it, dolphins.

The piece, which is jauntily entitled "The Sea of Blood", shows a stretch of water that has become stained bright red by the blood of the murdered marine mammals.

Campaign would like to congratulate everyone involved in this wonderful testament to the advertising and media industries working hand-in-hand.
