In every agency there is a certain friction, shall we say, between suits and creatives. None less so than at Hill Murray, where Jim Poulter - champion of the suits - and Tim Williamson - hero of the creatives - have challenged one another to a series of macho posturings to see who really is boss.

In every agency there is a certain friction, shall we say, between suits

and creatives. None less so than at Hill Murray, where Jim Poulter -

champion of the suits - and Tim Williamson - hero of the creatives -

have challenged one another to a series of macho posturings to see who

really is boss.

The first of these took place last Friday: a joint leap from ‘the

world’s highest’ fixed bungee at Adrenalin Village in Battersea.

Jim, of course, wore a suit for the occasion while Tim sported a T-shirt

with the slogan: ‘Wot, me worried?’ and a pair of Y-fronts doctored with

brown sauce.

It was decided that whoever was judged the most petrified would have to

call the other ‘Sir’ and present/receive all work on his knees for five

days.

It turned out that the account man was by far the coolest, so it’s been

‘Sir’ Jim all week.

Next challenge is the Dublin Marathon, followed by the Pamplona bull run

in 1997. Given the average suit’s propensity for going on and on and the

fact that they are naturally gifted at anything to do with bull, maybe

Tim should just give up right now.
