Diary: F365 takes Sun to task

It's rare that one Rupert Murdoch-owned organisation has the temerity to take on another, so we were amused by last week's open letter to The Sun on the Football365 website, which attacked its sister paper for its football coverage and perceived attempts to get the England manager, Fabio Capello, the sack.

The missive accuses The Sun and its football writers of being "offensive, objectionable and toxic" and goes on to argue that the paper is driven by "spite" because it didn't get its way over Capello staying on in the role. It's not clear what Murdoch makes of this bickering but it seems his legendary tentacles of control don't extend to all his publications.
