Diary: Food Advertising Unit gets tough with leaks

It seems the Advertising Association's Food Advertising Unit isn't best pleased with Campaign for spilling the beans about a possible food industry-funded campaign to promote healthy eating.

In an e-mail to its members, Claudia Camozzi, the FAU's public affairs manager, huffs about a "rather counter-productive leak" by an "AA insider".

"We are unsure as to who the 'AA insider' might be, as it appears that no-one here has had such detailed discussions with any journalist."

Fortunately, she offers guidance on how to fend off any other nosey hacks.

"Please say that no concrete proposals have yet been agreed and we will not be making any proposals public until these important discussions take place."

That should keep a lid on it, Claudia.
