DIARY: Gosper wants you to give your body to him for a very good cause

Here’s a tale and, more importantly, a photo, to keep the Brett Gosper fan club at Pearson happy.

Here’s a tale and, more importantly, a photo, to keep the Brett Gosper

fan club at Pearson happy.

You may remember that, for some strange reason, Gosper not only featured

in the Diary’s Valentine’s Day ‘top tottie’ feature, but inspired a

mailbag panting for more photos of the hunk.

Well, here he is in a typical hunk-like pursuit - with grown men

pursuing him. Under the guise of charity, Gosper agreed to chair the

committee for the NABS Rugby Sevens Tournament this year. Of course, we

all know it was just an excuse to release this picture.

Actually, Gosper has some impressive rugby credentials. ‘An accomplished

centre,’ (it says here), Gosper played for the top Parisian side, Racing

Club de France (above) from 1981 to 1990. He also played sevens for the

French Barbarians (against the All Blacks), Italy(?) and even Australia.

It bodes well for the event which takes place on Sunday 28 April at

London’s Richmond Athletic ground. More than 40 teams will take part in

more than 90 games in a day. There are a few team places left, but

there’s plenty of room for supporters. Tickets cost pounds 2.50 for

adults and pounds 1 for children (pounds 100 for women from Pearson),

with car parking available.

Officially, Gosper says: ‘I can’t think of many other events where

people will get as much enjoyment from giving their bodies to raise

money.’ Hooey! Whatever happened to good old-fashioned kissing booths,
